New MCC Committee Appointed for 2023-24
On Thursday, 9th of November 2023, the Maltese Community Council of NSW held their Annual General Meeting at the Alfred Fenech Maltese Resource Centre, in Parramatta West.
We are pleased to advise the following committee appointments:

The MCC is a non-profit organisation which provides social, cultural, recreational and welfare support to the Maltese community in NSW.
The committee members and delegates consist of a mixture of first and 2nd generation Maltese, and age ranges in their 30’s, 40’s, 50’s, 60’s, 70’s and 80’s. They all work together with one common interest: to bring the Maltese community together.
Established in 1967, the MCC is an umbrella organisation for affiliated Maltese associations. The MCC is composed of Delegates from each of the affiliated associations and meet monthly to discuss issues affecting the Maltese Community as a whole.
The MCC aims to preserve and promote Maltese identity, culture, heritage, and language for all Maltese, by birth and descent, in NSW. The Maltese Community Council of NSW is recognised by the Government of Malta as the prime advocate body for the Maltese community in NSW.
The MCC:
- Provides Maltese language and cultural classes via the Maltese Language School of NSW;
- Provides two one-hour weekly radio programs on Sunday between 10am and 12pm on 2GLF 89.3FM;
- Facilitates social meetings and information sessions for seniors’ groups in various locations;
- Provides the services of a welfare worker to assist in casework and group activities;
- Lobbies Maltese and Australian governments and/other bodies on matters of interest to the Maltese community.
