SBS wants to hear from you
Help improve services for the Maltese community!
We’re calling on you to respond to the current SBS Radio Language Services Review survey so that we can push the broadcaster to reintroduce services that our community has lost.
We have in information and guided responses below to help you answer the survey questions. We have provided information depending on whether you are an individual, or if you represent any Maltese community organisation in Australia.

SBS is an important resource for our diverse Australian community, not least of all for our Maltese community.
Every five years, SBS Radio holds a review of its language services to decide how it allocates its resources.
In the last two reviews, SBS has reduced Maltese services based on Census results.
Currently they are preparing a review again and will decide next year in June 2022 when the latest Census results are known.
In the survey, there are questions that are asking for information on how SBS should consider different aspects of the community. Some of these are based on technical information. We encourage you to read through the information below before responding to the survey. Of course, you can to answer with your own thoughts as well, but these responses may help.
